JK2010 - BOK and SWOA need your help

JK2010 is being held in Devon over the Easter weekend and needs the support of the orienteering community across the SW to make it a success.

BOK will be running the Starts on each of the four days, the likelihood at the moment being that we will need at least 15 people on each of Days 1 and 4 (the Sprint and Relays respectively) and 70 on each of Days 2 and 3(the Individuals) where we will need to cover up to 4 Start locations each day. The numbers are based on rolling shifts to enable helpers to have their runs as well.

I will be contacting BOK members over the coming weeks to establish availability and to start building up teams. It would however be of enormous assistance if in the interim you could email me and let me know on which days you can help.

In return for your assistance you can claim a 25% discount against your entry fees (using a code that I will provide) on the expectation that you will be able to help on at least 2 days. BOK will in addition receive a share of the profits based on the amount of support we provide to the JK.

Many thanks

Dave Urch

Headless Hill Splitsbrowser

It appears that the Splitsbrowser website was hacked which is why we disabled the link to it from the Headless Hill results. We believe the problem is fixed and have therefore reactivated the link from the BOK page. If you have used Splitsbrowser over the last couple of weeks, it may be worth running a virus check to ensure that you have not picked up anything unpleasant.

Compass Sport Cup Qualifier 24th Jan 2010

The venue for this event is now confirmed as Godshill and Hampton Ridge in the New Forest. BOK will be up against BKO, DEVON, SOC and TVOC, so we need you all if we're to make it through to the Final. An updated entry form is available on the BOK website, entry fees are now confirmed as £6 for seniors (plus £1 for Emit hire) and £3 for juniors. Junior girls will be pleased to note a rule change that will separate the M/W classes in Orange and Light Green, which should enable junior girls to stand an equal chance of scoring. Please put the date in your diaries now and return the entry form to Chris or Helen Kelsey as soon as possible. Event information is available on the SOC website.
