JOK Chasing Sprint & Harvester Relay 17th-18th May
This year’s JOK Chasing Sprint and Harvester relay events will be held in the Chilterns area on the weekend of 17th-18th May. The JOK Chasing Sprint will be held on the Saturday afternoon in the runnable deciduous woodland of Bloom Wood. This event comprises two short races, with results from the first detemining start times for the chase. The Harvester relay, to be held in typical mixed woodland around Bradenham (just a few miles from the JOK event), is a multi-leg night/day event, commencing late on the Saturday evening and continuing into the early part of Sunday morning. There is a 7-leg A course and a 5-leg B course, with various classes available including a handicap. For the Harvester, please let your club captains (Chris & Helen Kelsey) know if you’d like to enter so that they can co-ordinate the team entries - the closing date is 3rd May. Further details should be available shortly on the TVOC website.

Cotswold Way Relay - Saturday 28th June
Ashley Cooper writes:
The Cotswold Way Relay runs from Chipping Campden through to Bath Abbey using the waymarked route of the Cotswold Way. The race comprises 10 back-to-back races starting each stage with a mass start at the expected arrival time of the 1st runner from the previous stage. The route is over 90% off-road, taking in many hills, woodlands, fields and tracks, all offering spectacular views of the countryside around. The stages vary in ascent and length, to offer a differing flavour for each runner in the team. There are no marshalls on the route, so route finding is all part of the spirit of the event. BOK usually enters 1 or 2 teams (more would be welcome) and this year the race date is Saturday 28th June. The final details for 2008 haven't been announced yet, but to get an idea of the event, take a look at http://www.cotswoldwayrelay.co.uk/. If you would like to take part, put the date in your diary and let Ashley Cooper know by email, stating any preference for running a particular stage.
