Spectacular BOK Success at 2011 Southern Championship

Howard Thomas says 'BOK returned from TVOC’s event on the undulating but very runnable terrain of the Hambleden estate with a haul of 7 individual Southern Championship titles. Adam Potter led the way with a clear victory over his rivals at M16A level followed by a rash of titles from BOK’s very strong veteran women with Alison Simmons -W55, Katy Dyer -W60 , Sally Thomas -W65 , and Ann Donnell -W80. And in the blue riband categories of M and W21E there were titles for Grace and Matt Crane in very strongly contested fields. In M21E BOK runners achieved a clean sweep in the Southern Champs with SC podium places with Matt Franklin in 2nd and Mark Bown in 3rd place.

Elsewhere there were excellent performances throughout the age spectrum with a plethora of podium places, top ten finishes and championship standards achieved. Many congratulations to all our athletes who took part on Sunday and who contributed to such a successful day.
