Jackie Hallett says 'BOK's first outdoor talent squad training was at Greyfield Wood. It incorporated short courses of head to head relay type racing to improve concentration and with an aim of not to be distracted by others. As the group started its warm up the rain began to fall. After the first round of controls there was a real buzz with everyone talking about which controls they had and where their courses differed. Then the rain got heavier and heavier and although all courses were completed there was an urgency at the end to get back to the cars and warm up. Well done to those who then ventured out again for the Saturday League event. Despite the rain I think all enjoyed the challenge and were pleasantly surprised by the runnable woods they were taken through. We all hope for improved weather at Ashton Court on Saturday 27th November.
For those juniors wishing to improve their basic skills there will be a coaching session at Ashton Court on Saturday 27th November 10.00 – 11.30. This is aimed at yellow and orange standard.
